Subject: Regional Haze
To Whom It May Concern:
I manage a property in downtown Oklahoma City. I am of the belief that we need to
take care of our environment for future generations. The SIP proposal from the
state of Oklahoma meets two goals. It will obtain the EPA standards set before the
proposed FIP. Also, it responsibly takes the economic situation in consideration. My
building square footage is more than 500,000. A 15% increase in utilities would
have a major affect not only on the building, but it would impact all my tenants. The
increase to our tenants would cause cutbacks in all areas. I believe it would slow
investing in the Oklahoma City downtown area. This would go against the mission
of the city to attract the biggest and brightest companies in the world. I believe at
minimum the EPA and ODEQ needs to work to together to come to a resolve that
would fix the polluting problem while taking the economy of Oklahoma in mind.
Thank you for the opportunity to voice my concern.
