RIN# 1205-AB48: The Senior Community Service Employment Program certainly helped me with a difficult situation. I was working with my husband in his dental office and then he retired. I still needed to work but had no luck finding a job through word-of-mouth, newspapers, etc. As luck would have it, somebody mentioned the Employment Program and how it works and that was the beginning of a wonderful experience. After completing the preliminary steps such as going on interviews, etc., I trained at a few sites and was fortunate to be needed at the Office For The Aging. I trained with the Editor of their newsletter who brought me up-to-date with computer skills, etc. He then had to leave for medical reasons and, because of his great training, I was capable enough to become the Editor of the newsletter. I could not have achieve what I did without the Senior Community Service Employment Program
