The FAA has a planed Class B revision for the Memphis, TN airport. There are 5 EMS helicopter services that come into this proposed Class B with one based inside the proposed Class B, just outside the current class B. There will be 2 hospitals inside the proposed, one being The Med, a class 1 trauma center for the entire region. There needs to be either a VFR cooridor to get to these areas or a notch out of the north west corner (like done on the south east corner for Olive Branch airport) to allow these helicopters to the hospitals without tower contact. A lower altitude perhaps - but something needs to allow helicopters into this area. With FedEx and Northwest it's already difficult to communicate with them after the 9/11 situation. Thank You, Ed Holmes
