It seems gyro airplanes were not included in the ELSA. Although it is a small field there are a number of foreign and domestic manufactures of these planes/aircraft. I cannot see any reason for their exclusion. Nor can there be this artifically low weight limit on part 103 ultralights. And by having the January 2008 deadline for conversion persons like myself who will not have their plane finished by the deadline due to financial reasons will be left out. I usually do not agree with much that happens in Europe but in regards to what they refer to as microlights in general they much more common sense approach.
