Subject: Docket No. FAA-2007-0083; Directorate Identifier 2006-NM-266-AD, RIN
2120-AA64
Dear Sirs,
This letter is in response to NPRM 2006-NM-266-AD dated 25-Oct-2007. The
proposed AD will require compliance with Embraer Service Bulletin (SB) 145-30-
0044 and SB 145-30-0049 to replace engine anti-ice valves part number C146009-
2 and C146009-3 for installation of the new and improved version C146009-4.
We have initiated Service Bulletin 145-30-0044 and 145-30-0049 to remove all
C146009-2 and C146009-3 valves. In the process we have experienced reported
malfunctions with the new engine anti-ice valve C146009-4. Will this delay the
implementation of this AD until the current problems with the C146009-4 are
identified and corrected?
Regards,
