While not a helicopter pilot, I am a private pilot. I have a concern with the wording that apparently requires a logbook entry for every pre-flight to comply. This is excessive and overly burdensome. Many people, myself included, do not keep the aircraft logbooks with their aircraft, or even readily accessible. I know many people that keep them in safety deposit boxes or safes. While I understand the concern with this issue and the AD, I think that an actual logbook entry for each inspection is unrealistic and overly zealous. As an aircraft owner that does not want to see this type of precedent set I strongly oppose that wording in the AD.
