2007-CE-030-AD This AD has been a disaster from it's inception. No engineer or mechanic I have spoken to has been able to replicate the situation described in the original justification for changing the bumper stop or stop bolt. Without destructive manipulation of the rudder horn and the rudder I challenge anyone to bring about the snagging of the bumper stop behind the stop bolt. An entirely fruitless exercise dreamed up by ill informed pen pushers. The kits supplied by Cessna (I have installed three sets so far) are deficient in quality and components. The stainless bumper stop requires considerable finishing work to make it aviation quality. Rough at best. The rivets supplied are either too short or the wrong type for the positions required and must be substituted by locally procured rivets which will fit and do the job. The enclosed picture shows a mislabelled packet of rivets (wrong size and quantity). Cessna advised but ignored me. BUT hey! don't get me wrong, I love it when you dream up worthless ADs which sucker owners need to get done, I make money out of it! Keep up the good work
