Compliance with paragraph (f)(1) will be next to impossible, as written ? ?Insert
unclassified document 12-A/AMP-04, . . . into the airworthiness limitations section
of the FAA-approved maintenance program (e.g., maintenance manual).? Our
maintenance manuals are on electronic media. Each airplane we service does not
have it?s own maintenance manual. How do I show compliance with this portion of
the AD?
Suggestion: Only list the new overhaul and time limitations in the AD (reference
similar AD 2006-08-11 where just the required replacement interval for the crew
seat backrest tubes are listed). Compliance with the time limitations in the AD is
mandatory; no revision to the maintenance manual is required.
Question concerning the second paragraph under ?SUPPLEMENTARY
INFORMATION: Discussion? ? ?These new limitations have been incorporated into
the Airworthiness Limitations section of the Pilatus PC-12 Airplane Maintenance
Manual (AMM) 12-A/AMP-04, chapter 4, revision 10, dated October 26, 2007.?
Chapter 4 ? Airworthiness Limitations is FAA approved and compliance with the
limitations is mandatory (reference 91.403(c)). If the new limitations are now in
Chapter 4, is this AD even necessary??
