1.During inspection, JAL encountered several circumstances that other structures prevents the inspection specified in source SB, therefore JAL feels the necessity to incorporate more detailed information into SB to prevent inconvenience of operator. 2.If discrepancies are found, operators have to contact manufacturer for repair method. However, there should be many inquiries from operator to manufacturer, and operator may have difficulty to receive reply from manufacturer in timely manner. Therefore JAL would like to ask FAA to wait until typical repair being incorporated into SRM. 3.In SB, inspection interval is same between butt joint to butt joint, or lap joint to lap joint. However due to our understanding, stress value can be provided between stringer to stringer, or frame to frame. Therefore JAL would like manufacturer to incorporate more detail inspection interval into SB and also would like to ask FAA to wait until issuance of SB Rev.3 which incorporates more detail inspection interval.
