o On several places (3 ea) it is stated that ?a failed mounting assembly, if not corrected, could result in loss of the engine.? This is not true, the engine mounting assembly is designed as a redundant system and in case of loss of one mount the loads will be transferred through the remaining mounts. o Under ?FAA AD Differences? it is stated ?Although the MCAI or service information allows further flight after cracks are found during compliance with the required ...?. This is not the case. If a crack is found then the mount assembly shall be replaced. o Lord Corporation, Rolls-Royce Corporation and Saab have jointly worked to develop an alternative means of compliance to the current NDT inspection in SB 2000-71-025. This has resulted in a proposed revision to SB -025 that will allow a visual repetitive inspection every 250 FH (from 1,000 FH) up to 4,000 FH where the center bracket shall be reworked in accordance with the current SB. The proposed revised SB 71-025 has been submitted to EASA and will most probably result in EASA issuing a revised AD.
