REF/A/ copy of SB 747-53A2704 ( Copy attached ) REF/B/ Boeing communication message SR 1-710340462 JAL would like to comment one subject. On REF/A/, compliance time of "general visual inspection for external doublers in Area 1, 2 and 3" is 16,000 total flight cycles". However Boeing advised JAL that compliance time of only Area 1 is 16,000 total flight cycles, and compliance time of Area 2 and 3 is 25,000 total flight cycles, since "general visual inspection for external doubler" should be done together with other HFEC inspections. Therefore JAL would like to ask FAA to change the AD requirement as attached. Regarding this issue, JAL talked with Boeing and received information that SB original should be as shown on REF/A/ and Boeing will revise in next SB revision per REF/B/. Action requested 1. JAL would like to ask FAA to wait issuance of AD until SB revison 1 issuance which includes datum correction. 2. If FAA can not wait issuance of SB Rev.1, please reflect datum contents into AD, since it is the error of SB original. Best Regards JAL Masami. SUZUKI
