Par (f) states:
??inspect to determine the part number and serial number of the windshield wiper
motors for the pilot's and first officer's windshields, and do all the applicable
corrective actions, by accomplishing all of the applicable actions specified in the
Accomplishment Instructions of Boeing Alert Service??
And:
?A review of airplane maintenance records is acceptable in lieu of the inspection if
the part number and serial number of the windshield wiper motors can be
conclusively determined from that review. ?
It is unclear if after reviewing the maintenance records if it is still mandatory to ?re-
label? P/N 2313M-347-3 or P/N 2313M-348-3 within the 60 months compliance
time knowing that the wiper motor serial numbers are outside the affected
modification range as per Rosemount SB 2313M-347/2113M-348-30-01.
Intensive work is necessary if the wiper motor with P/N 2313M-347-3 or P/N
2313M-348-3 has to be re-labeled even dough it is not affected per Rosemount SB
2313M-347/2113M-348-30-01 and therefore unwanted labor.
KLM would like to see a note saying something like:
If P/N 2313M-347-3 and P/N 2313M-348-3 which are outside the affected
modification range as per Rosemount SB 2313M-347/2113M-348-30-01, which are
identified by the maintenance records, do not have to be re-labeled from a -3 to a -
4 wiper motor until next shop visit / opportunity .
