In review of NPRM docket No. FAA-2008-0617; directorate Identifier 2007-NM-354- AD, paragraph (f) states that one of the approved methods is the operation test in Section 28-22-00, titled “Engine Fuel Feed System - - Adjustment /Test” of the Boeing AMM; and Boeing 737-600/ 700/800/900 Task Card 28-050-00-01, titled ``Engine Fuel Suction Feed,'' dated February 15, 2008. Further research shows that AMM Task 28-22-00-710-802 “Engine Fuel Suction Feed – Operational Test” is the one of the equivalent tasks allowed per Boeing Taskcard 28-050-00-01. In the Notes section of Boeing Taskcard 28-050-00-01 it states: “Note: Two equivalent procedures (Task 28-22-00-710-802 and Task 28-22-15-710-801) are provided in this task card to satisfy the operational check requirement for engine fuel suction feed. Operators need to perform only one of the two procedures by selecting the one that would align with their maintenance practices.” There needs to be clarification on whether or not accomplishment of AMM Task 28-22-15-710- 801 meets the intent of the proposed AD. Further, SCA believes that because the required AMM Task is already contained within the Boeing 28-050-00-01 Taskcard, and has a repetitive interval of 7500FH as prescribed within the Boeing MPD, that this item be withdrawn from AD action and instead be addressed as a CMR.
