Regarding the Final Rule (AD); request for comments appears to be only concerned with certain Lockheed Model 382, B, E, F, G and J commercial C-130 type aircraft, however there are other U. S. registered C-130 aircraft with type certificates that may have been inadvertantly overlooked. Specifically: TYPE CERTIFICATE DATA SHEET NO. A5SO (Lockheed-Georgia Company) 282- 44A-05 (C-130B) TYPE CERTIFICATE DATA SHEET NO. A15NM (USDA Forest Service) C-130A TYPE CERTIFICATE DATA SHEET NO. A30NM (Hawkins & Powers Aviation, Inc.) HP-C-130A TYPE CERTIFICATE DATA SHEET NO. A31NM (Heavylift Helicopters Inc.) C- 130A TYPE CERTIFICATE DATA SHEET NO. A33NM (Western International Aviation, Inc.) C-130A TYPE CERTIFICATE DATA SHEET NO. A34SO (LeSEA) C-130A TYPE CERTIFICATE DATA SHEET NO. A39CE (Central Air Service, Inc.) C-130A TYPE CERTIFICATE DATA SHEET NO. TQ3CH (Snow Aviation International, Inc.) C-130A Is it the FAA's intention to exclude these aircraft from the Final Rule? What efforts are the FAA taking to ensure that manufacturers of "standard parts", such as AirFasco, do not allow non-conforming parts to enter the supply system? What efforts are being expended to track down all of the non-conforming NAS 636 bolts. It would seem that an airworthiness directive directed against AirFasco's non-conforming NAS 636 bolts would ensure that all possible applications of NAS 636 bolts would be alerted to the condition rather than to one specific application.
