Regarding the Applicability statement, there were no Dowty Rotol propellers
installed on the Convair Model 240, 340 or 440 aircraft.
Per TCDS A-793 for the Convair Model 240 - 2 Curtiss-Wright C632S-B/740-6C2-0
or C632S-B/740-9C2-0 propellers or 2 Hamilton Standard 23260/2H17K3-48R,
23260/2H17U3-48R, 23260/2H17AC3-48R or 2H17AA3-48R or 43E60/6895-12
propellers.
Per TCDS 6A6 for the Convair Model 340 - 2 Hamilton Standard 43E60-9/6895A-8,
43E60-301/6895B-8, 43E60-325/6895B-8, 43E60-333/6895B-8, 43E60-319/6895D-
8, 43E60-325/6895E-8, 43E60-385/6895E-8, 43E60-333/6895G-8 or 43E60-
387/6895G-8 propellers.
Per TCDS 6A6 for the Convair Model 440 - 2 Hamilton Standard 43E60-377/6895E-
8, 43E60-435/6895E-8 or 43E60-469/6895E-8 propellers.
Per TCDS 6A6 for the Convair Model 340/440 Military versions - 2 Hamilton
Standard 43E60-341/6895B-8, 43E60-501/6895B-8, 43E60-523/6895B-8, 43E60-
539/6895M-8, 43E60-565/6895N-8 propellers.
In 1964, the Convair Division of General Dynamics started a turbo prop conversion
program for all of the Convair Liner series aircraft - the 240, 340 and 440 - using
the Rolls Royce Dart Rda 10 Mark 542 engine with a Dowty Rotol propeller.
Originally designated 240D for the Model 240 and 340D and 440D, for the Model
340 and 440 respectively, the designation was later changed to Model 600 (240)
or 640 (340/440).
Per SA1054WE - 2 Dowty Rotol R.245/4-40-4.5/13 propellers - Model 600 (240).
Per SA1096WE - 2 Dowty Rotol R245/4-40-4.5/13 or R259/4-40-4.5/17 propellers -
Model 640 (340/440).
The Applicability paragraph should be corrected to denote Convair 600 (240
modified per STC SA1054WE) Convair 640 (340/440 modified per STC
SA1096WE).
