To Whom It May Concern: I believe that the FAA should not require that Pilots with Single Pilot type ratings under go a FAR 61.58 check ride for the following reasons: First there is only one Single pilot type rated jet that goes close to 500 Knots that is the SJ30. There are only 7 pilots that are single type rated in the SJ30 in the whole World. Second so far the VLJ jets only fly at 350 knots not 500 knots. Third to save the Tax payer money you should only make a change to FAR 61.56 and require the Pilot of a single pilot type rating undergo a flight review in the aircraft that he is type rated in order to fly as PIC This I believe would save millions of dollars.
