Harco Labs SB 34-10-10-001 Rev F carries an effectivity range of Serial
Numbers "less than 800000" the Airworthiness Directive has a Serial Number
Range of "740000 through 799999"
Is there specific reasoning behing the difference of effectivity?
There are pitot probes in the field that carry the effectivity of the SB that have
failed the criteria of the SB, however they would not have the same impact as the
Airworthiness Directive (i.e. be limited to VFR)
We have 8 probes that have failed the SB that are not in the range of the
Airworthiness Directive. (Serial numbers Less than 740000)
