This proposed rule refers to Boeing Alert Service Bulletin 747-53A2427, Revision 4.
However, ANA and Boeing had discussed about several discrepancies on the SB
and they were clarified as shown in Boeing Alert Service Bulletin 747-53A2427
IN02. These additional information are important to perform the inspection and
interim modification per the SB.
Since Information Notice is not approved by the FAA, it will burden for all operators
to request AMOCs once this proposed rule is mandated. Boeing will issue 747-
53A2427, Revision 5 to include the additional information.
To reduce work load for operators and Boeing, we request the FAA to wait the final
rule until Revision 5 of the SB is released or to include the additional information
as shown in SB 747-53A2427 IN02 into the expected final rule.
