JAL would like to comment followings for Docket No. FAA-2008-1071; Directorate Identifier 2008-NM-093-AD 1. On paragraph (i)(1)(ii), it is requested to do the detailed inspection for wear damage and cracks of the surface of the repair doubler. However there is no wear limit for repair doubler. Therefore even if minor blend is found on repair doubler, operator has to contact Boeing for repair instruction or replace the repair doubler with new doubler. It is big burden for operator, therefore JAL would like to ask FAA to include allowable damage limit for repair doubler or coordinate with Boeing to issue SB revision 2 which include allowable damage limit for repair doubler. JAL also would like to ask FAA to wait AD issuance until allowable damage limit for repair doubler is included into AD or SB Revision 2. Best Regards JAL Masami. SUZUKI
