The FAA AD restricting the flight envelope to FL370 and below is not required and unnecessarily restricts the operational capability of the Eclipse 500 aircraft. It appears to be an over reaction to a very few events that have occurred under very specific and controllable conditions. It appears to be an overreaction by the FAA due to recent publicity and congressional hearings and is quite unneccessary for flight safety. The company and the engine mfg have submitted a solution to the flying owner/operators that is sufficient whilst they work on a final solution. Request The FAA retract this AD soonest.....it actually impacts safety rather than promotes it due to the fact that the a/c fuel specs are the best above FL370 and this restriction will cause someone in the flying public to end up short on fuel and possibly run out. Remove the AD.
