Step 1 of Paragraph 3.B. (Work Instructions) of Boeing SB 737-53A1269 states
to “Get internal access to the Forward Airstair door cutout upper still web at STA
312 and the backup intercostals at STA 322.7 and STA 333.3. Open the Forward
Airstair Door as given in 737-100/200 AMM 52-61-0 or 737-300/400/500 AMM 52-
61-00, or an approved equivalent procedure.
Will alternate procedures be provided for aircraft which have had the airstair door
deactivated per Boeing SB 737-52-1092? Will instructions for open and close of
an airstair door developed by operators after deactivation per SB 737-52-1092 be
considered “approved equivalent procedure(s)”?
