PREFACE: All actuators discussed here have the same root part number and
only the suffix dash number changes. For simplicity only the suffix dash number
is listed in this comment.
Actuator root part number is: 114-380041-xx
(e), (3), (ii) of the proposed directive limits terminating action to a single actuator, "-
17"
Hawker-Beechcraft list two other Main Landing Gear actuator part numbers in its
Illustrated Parts Catalog, a "-7", and a, "-9". Without the statement in (e), (3),
(ii), it is understood that since these part number actuators are not listed as those
required to inspect by the Airworthiness Directive, that their installation as a
replacement actuators to the actuator with part numbers requiring inspection
constitutes a terminating action.
The statement in (e), (3), (ii) restrains the terminating action to only the
installation of a, "-17" part number actuator.
Terminating action should concist of replacement of an affected actuator with an
actuator of a part number listed in the Hawker-Beechcraft Illustrated Parts
Catalog other than a, "-15" actuator.
Note that, "-11" and, "-13" actuators are not listed in the Hawker-Beechcraft
Illustrated Parts Catalog
This will also cover actuators that are in development for the future, such as the "-
19" Tactair project, or the, "-21" Airight pending actuator.
