Please be informed of availability of Airbus Modification SB (MSB) A300-24-0103 Revision 03 "ELECTRICAL POWER - IMPROVED PROTECTION OF FUEL PUMP WIRING AGAINST SHORT CIRCUIT". Airbus MSB A300-24-0103R02 is currently subject to EASA AD 2008-0188 mandatory requirements and is also part of equivalent future rulemaking Docket n° FAA-2009-0055. Since NPRM FAA-2009-0055 publication, MSB A300-24-0103 Revision 03 has been issued to introduce additional protection to routes 1P and 2P harnesses in zones 571/671 in A300 aircraft with a specific configuration (aircraft in configuration 02). Note that aircraft in configuration 01 are not affected by new additional work introduced at Revision 03. A new AD superseding AD 2008-0188 to refer to revision 03 of MSB A300-24-0103 is under preparation at EASA. In the meantime, Airbus is kindly requesting FAA the review of current rulemaking so that coming AD properly refers to Revision 03 of MSB A300-24-0103.
