Dear Sir, dear Madam,
Airbus reviewed the content on proposed rulemaking Docket n°FAA-2009-0431
and would like to comment as follows:
paragraph (4) of NPRM provides instructions for airplanes on which the
modification required by paragraph (f)(1) or (f)(2) of this AD is done at or before the
accumulation of 6,000 total FC since first flight.
However, as specified in Airbus SB A300-53-6005 R04, Airbus SB A310-53-2024
R05 and related MCAI, aeroplane modified prior to 6000FC are not affected by
ISBs 53-6005 or 53-2024 requirements but shall apply ALI tasks 531919-01-1A.
Indeed, repetitive inspections as specified in Airbus SB A300-53-6005R04, A310-
53-2024R05, subject to MCAI 2007-0297R1 requirements are applicable to
aeroplane on which Airbus SB A300-53-6006 or A310-53-2025 has been embodied
between 6000FC and 12000FC since first flight only.
We are then kindly requesting FAA to revise paragraph (4) of NPRM FAA-2009-
0431 accordingly.
Best regards,
Valia Smith
