The "issue" isn't specific to the Learjet model 60. It is a maintenace issue, which
is relevant to all business jets & other large airplanes. This has been clearly
addressed by the OEM - Bombadier/Learjet.
I urge you to acquire & read Bombardier AW 32-046 & AW 32-047. Both of these
AWs are public & official record from the OEM that: tire pressures must be
checked prior to the first flight of the day and that the effectivity applies to all
Learjet models! Thus, per the OEM's guidance, issuance of a tire pressure check
AD should apply to, as a minimum, all Learjets. Neither AW has been superceded
or cancelled.
You are likely aware of additional OEM guidance via AW 32-45, LR60-AFM, LR60-
AMM, 60/60XR SMART CARD, plus FAA AC20-97B,
Bombardier (AW 32-46) 2.0 INTRODUCTION, states: "This is one element of a
strategic effort to promote safety across the entire aviation industry with respect to
proper tire inflation."Will the FAA follow suit?
Since & kind regards,
