This public comment is issued on behalf of AFT Technologies, Inc., a party directly affected by the subject Notice of Proposed Rulemaking.
This comment is submitted in the form of an attached file in order to preserve the formatting of the comment text. The attached file illustrates deletions (by means of strikeouts) and additions (by means of underlining) to the proposed Airworthiness Directive.
The deletions and additions described in the annexed file are reasonably required to avoid confusion; to prevent reader of the proposed Airworthiness Directive from incorrectly concluding that the FAA found a design defect (as opposed to a manufacturing or assembly defect) in the subject combustion liners; and to prevent the reader from incorrectly concluding that other liners of similar design are subject to removal from service.
Accordingly, the attention of the FAA and the public is respectfully directed to the pdf file submitted herewith.
