Dear Sirs,
Expressjet Airlines would like to comment on Docket No. 2009-0659: Directorate Identifier 2009-NM-060-AD concerning the inspection of a trailing arm landing gear pin on select EMB-145 aircraft.
The proposed rule states that the inspection shall be done per EMB SB145-32-0122 Rev. Orig. dated November 27, 2008, however Expressjet requests that the inspection may also be performed using SB 145-32-0122 Rev 01. dated April 29, 2009. The latest revision allows a cracked pin to be replaced by a new pin bearing the same part number.
Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Ben Manning
Sr. Manager of Engineering
