ASAP would be more valuable to the overall SMS initiative if the carrier’s strive to include all employee groups represented, including flight attendants, maintenance, dispatch, and ground service. Input from all of these divisions will enhance the SMS by providing information from all areas where safety is a factor, thereby increasing communication and making the data derived from the ASAP more comprehensive.
