I agree with this rule proposal. With the recent Colgan accident there needs to be something done. During an approach and landing in IMC pilots have a heavy work load and checking the wings for ice is something they are not looking for. The only fear I have is that pilots will not turn on de icing equipment until the senor tells them to and if the system fails they could be in trouble. But overall I do agree with this proposal.
