Airworthiness Directives: Dowty Propellers Propellers

Dowty Propellers has revised Service Bulletin D8400-61-A66 to revision 7 dated December 1, 2011. We would like the final rule reference Revision 7 in paragraphs (e) and (h). Dowty Propeller Service Bulletin D8400-61-94 Revision 3 dated October 23, 2012 states in the accomplishment instructions to use 3M sealant 5300. 3M does not sell sealant 3M 5300 in the United States. 3M sells an equivalent sealant 3M 4200 in the United States. The Dowty Propeller Standard Practices Manual 60-00-00 (PS 5002) lists 3M 4200 sealant as the US equivalent for 3M 5300 sealant. We would like to see the final rule include an allowance to use the US equivalent to 3M 5300 sealant specified in the Dowty Propeller Standard Practices Manual 60-00-00.
