Para j of the document refers to SB 767-28-0034 as a pre-requisite requirement to the installation of SB 767-28A0085. BAB does not believe that there is any technical relationship between fuel pump operation and the number of cross feed valves fitted to the aircraft. Boeing has indicated to BAB that it is reviewing SB 767-28A0085 to providing an alternative installation for single crossfeed valve equipped aircraft. BAB therefore request that the FAA postpone the issue of the AD until Boeing have revised SB 767-28A0085 to include the single cross feed valve aircraft design or add an additional paragraph to the AD to allow for future SB revisions that will cover this. BAB also request that the requirement to embody SB 767-28-0034 is removed for any alternative designs, e.g TDG Aerospace UFI.
