ANA (All Nippon Airways) understands the necessity of expanding airplane effectivity. However we believe a new AD should focus on 737-200 airplanes only as AD APPLICABILITY because of the following reasons; 1) existing AD (2008-06-24) clearly targets 737-300/400/500 airplanes 2) the FAA had already approved Boeing SB REV 1 and supplier's SB REVs. 3) proposed AD does not seem to change compliance/grace period and other requirements for 737-300/400/500 airplanes Therefore ANA would like to request the FAA to issue a new separate AD that dedicates for 737-200 airplanes in order to avoid unnecessary internal/external paper works for a new AD issuance for 737-300/400/500 airplanes. Regards.
