The Service Bulletin 70-179-09 at Amendment 1 giving the final solution was issued on February 1st, 2010. An AD EASA is being prepared containing information of this amendment 1. If the EASA AD is issued before February 18, 2010, date of comments ending of the FAA AD NPRM, we proposed you to issue your AD also at this time with instructions of SB70-179-09 at amendment 1: terminative actions. Furthermore, the given Costs of Compliance in the AD NPRM are not in accordance with those given in our SB: it would take about 10 work-minutes per product instead of 0.5 work-hour to remove the wrong foam and to replace it by the new one. So the cost reaches only $13 for an average labor rate of $80 per work-hour and consequently $2132 for all U.S. operators.
