The Proposed Rule , in general refers to EASA AD 2009-0204, dated September 30, 2009. The EASA AD refers to Airbus Service Bulletins A330-71-3022 and A340-71-5004 at Original Issue. According to the EASA AD the use of later approved revisions of these documents is acceptable for compliance with the requirements of the EASA AD.
We propose that the FAA AD also includes a statement that the use of later approved revisions of Airbus Service Bulletins A330-71-3022 and A340-71-5004 is acceptable for compliance with the requirements of the FAA AD.
In case of future Airbus SB revision this would enable the operators to be in compliance with both the EASA and the FAA AD ( Dual Release ) without using a complicated AMOC procedure.
