For the NPRM of AD – Pratt and Whiney Division Turbofan Engines [Docket No. FAA–2010–0217; Directorate Identifier 2009–NE–23–AD, RIN 2120–AA64] there are comments below. 1. (g) of the NPRM, Replacement of 13th, 14th, and 15th HPC Seals, should be accomplished in accordance with the SB PW4ENG 72-816 (dated Dec 2, 2011) and PW4G-100-72-240 (dated Nov 15, 2011). The SBs are revised recently to SB PW4ENG 72-816 Revision 01 (dated Jun 12, 2012) and PW4G-100-72-240 Revision 01 (dated Jun 12, 2012). The NPRM should update to the revised SBs. 2. The current FAA AD 2010-18-13 has two AMOC as follow, the new AD should also be updated the AMOCs (1) AMOC Letter, Dec 20, 2010 – FAA AD 2005-25-09 is equivalent or better inspection method of the FAA AD 2010-18-13. (2) AMOC Letter, Oct 21, 2011 – Cracked stage of the HPC drum rotor disk assembly can be replaced by new disks per CIR repair procedures.
