Fuel Quantity AD Docket #2010-0546 This AD requires the operator, within 600 flight hours or 180 days, to determine real fuel quantity using the dripless stick measuring and comparing indications to the fuel quantity master indicator and repeater. This inspection has already been added to section 3 of the EMB120 MRB document (Task 28-25) to come due with each A check. This causes the item to be inspected more frequently than called for in the AD. The AD should be written as a one time AD using the 600 hours or 180 days to ensure that Task 28-25 is incorporated into the operators A check program, and for subsequent inspections requiring operators to comply with the MRB schedule per Task 28-25. This has the added benefit of harmonizing the inspection intervals for all operators with the MRB requirement – very useful when conformity review is necessary as airplane returns from part 91 operation to revenue service.
