The OEM (P&W) has pointed out to the operators that the AVT shelf cracking has been related to a redesign of the HPC stage 9 vane segments introducing a 24 segment slots design. These segments were introduced with the Ring Case Compressor modification. Meanwhile the OEM issued SB PW4ENG 72-801. This SB introduces redesigned HPC stage 9 vanes with the original 36 segment slot arrangement. Commenter would like to see that SB PW4ENG 72-801 be added to the AD-note as terminating action for the repeat inspection per SB PW4ENG 72-799
