WITH REFERENCE TO RESCINDING AD 71-13-01, THIS SHOULD BE APPLICABLE ONLY TO THE FOLLOWING TIO-540-A SERIES ENGINES CERTIFIED AT THAT TIME WHICH INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:
TIO-540-A1A
TIO-540-A1B
TIO-540-A2A
TIO-540-A2B
TIO-540-A1C
TIO-549-A2C
THE REASON BEING THESE WERE THE ONLY TIO-540-A SERIES ENGINES CERTIFIED AT THE TIME OF THE ISSUANCE OF AD 71-13-01 WHICH COULD HAVE SERIAL NUMBERS LESS THAN 1931-61. (WHICH HAD TO BE PRODUCED TO KNOW THE SERIAL NUMBER)
ALL FUEL INJECTED LYCOMING ENGINES NOW ARE COVERED BY AD 2008-14-07 AND S/B 2E.
