To whom it may concern, V-284 is a convenient method of getting from the PHL area south or east or from the NYC area south. It would get considerably more use except that it is never assigned as part of a flight plan. PHL TRACON takes many of its arrivals over VCN, and steers most traffic in that area to ACY approach. Since Victor airways do not require regular flight tests and cost little to maintain, there is no good reason to remove this airway. If it were assigned more often in flight plans instead of being ruled out due to PHL arrivals, it would see considerably more use. It use is desired, but not really allowed. Thanks, Allan Beiderman
