Merely banning the storage of this particular tow bar is at best a bandaid for the real problem. If there is a compass deviation caused by the tow bar then any other ferrous material stored in this area would have a similiar effect. I do not have any information on the wiring of this aircraft but I would suspect that the magnetic flux valves could be in a location that creates this problem. Investigation into the feasability of relocating them to a less susceptible area may be a better course of action
