Continental Airlines operates 209 aircraft subject to this proposed rule. CAL has been inspecting affected aircraft since 2007 per the related Boeing service bulletin, original issue or Revision 1. CAL supports issuance of the proposed rule. CAL is concerned about inadvertently undoing the corrective actions of the Boeing SB during future maintenance. As a result, CAL requested to Boeing that appropriate Instructions for Continued Airworthiness be added to the 737NG Aircraft Maintenance Manual. CAL suggests that the FAA request the same from Boeing.
