APB has evaluated the proposed rulemaking and associated Boeing Service Bulletin 767-53A0100 Revision 2 Dated January 15, 2010. APB has completed analysis that confirms that the rework limits defined in the Boeing SB are compliant when winglets are installed. APB requests that the FAA include aircraft that have been modified with winglets in accordance with FAA STC ST01920SE as applicable to this proposed airworthiness directive (Docket No. FAA-2011-0044). Inclusion of the significant number of aircraft with winglets installed will reduce the FAA’s effort to support AMOCs.
