Sikorsky Aircraft strongly supports the addition of the Arriel 2S2 to this AD. Sikorsky recommends that the compliance be made within 100 Cycles in service, instead of 500 (as in the FAA NPRM), and adding a calendar limitation of “but not later than 9/30/2012” (instead of the 11/16/2012 date of the EASA AD 2012-0054). Sikorsky believes the frequency of occurrence of the ruptures, when analyzed per AC39-8 targeting a reasonable risk, argues for an earlier TU166 modification.
