I fly for a company in Fargo that has a Beechjet 400a. When we consider fuel stops when we are going across the country, we look for ease of landing and taking off to be quickly and efficiently. Fargo and Grand Forks are very popular stops for aircraft going from coast to coast. If these areas are implemented, pilots will stray away from North Dakota since they will have to divert south to fly around the airspace.
Also, I flight instruct clients around the Fargo area. Since, the airspace restrictions in some of your proposed areas are going to 500 agl, this will greatly hinder flight training. If people are going to be restricted in such a large and vast area, this will affect the growth and continued operation of existing pilots in the area. Crop sprayers that help produce our existing food and fuel productive crops, will also be greatly hindered in their operations.
I think we can arrange a smaller airspace for the aircraft that are involved. Why does there need to be such a vast and number of areas? Lets evaluate the number of operations and come up with a realistic area for both sides? The existing MOA's to become Restricted areas, is massive for UAV's that are propellor driven.
