American Airlines has reviewed NPRM 2011-0153 and does not believe the intended purpose will be accomplished by only installing Boeing Service Bulletin 777-24-0074, Revision 1, dated October 5, 2006. The intended purpose is to provide new switches in the flight deck that can remove power from the cabin if smoke or flames occur. This service bulletin is a partial to the complete installation Boeing Service Bulletin 777-24-0075. SB 777-24-0074 only installs electrical system panel and wires in the cockpit, complete and additional wiring are called out in 777-24-0075. In addition, 777-24-0075 calls out several GE Aviation service bulletins that are to be done concurrently.
