Emirates recoginise and appreciate that the FAA have highlighted an issue with the EASA AD, in that the Final Rule 'Repair' para (k)(1) includes instructions to replace the subject fittings if 'an additional crack' is found at this stage. However, within 'FAA AD Differences' para, although reference is made to the 'fluorescent penetrant inspection', no reference is made to the subject HFEC inspection which is correctly included, in para (k)(1) and para (k).
