We have no objection to the proposed AD but paragraph (g) in the final AD needs to be changed to make it workable for operators of the Q400.
The MRB temporary revision, MRB-45 dated October 6, 2009 specified in paragraph (g) of the proposed AD is not an active temporary revision in PSM 1-84-7. The temporary revision was removed by permanent revision 7 dated June 2010 for PSM 1-84-7. The temporary revision MRB-45 referenced in the proposed AD does not exist.
We are requesting the FAA revise paragraph (g) of the final AD to reference the permanent revision 7 not the temporary revision MRB-45 for task 320100-213 or add a note allowing the removal of the TR when it is incorporated into the manual through a permanent revision. The proposed AD as currently written would force operators to go back to the manufacture for a copy of TR MRB-45 because TR was discarded at the incorporation of the permanent revision 7.
