According to Piaggio SB 80-0330, used as reference document on this AD, not all P180 are affected. We suggest to limit the AD applicability to P180 already delivered, and to those that to date are not far from delivery: in detail, MSN 1002 and 1004-1218. - MSN 1001 and 1003 are not in service (1001 being the 1st prototype, now retired; 1003 being used for structural tests during certification). - Starting from MSN 1219, flapper valves near frame 36 are removed by design. - Drain holes, required on in service aircraft by Piaggio Aero SB 80-0291, are added by design starting from MSN 1214. - Inspection and test, as per SB 80-0330, are not efficient on aircraft still in production line, since they are performed before first flight of the aircraft. We also suggest to specify that AD 2007-24-15 is still applicable (this AD addresses Piaggio Aero SB 80-0220). A similar note was included in FAA AD 2011-01-53. Finally we suggest to remind that also AD 2011-01-51 is superseded (as stated on AD 2011-01-53). Thanks in advance Carlo Cardu
