Continental Airlines has reviewed the proposed AD and while in agreement with the intent of the proposed rule has the following comments;
1) Information Notice 767-57-0121 IN 01 issued March 03, 2011 correcting and clarifying certain instruction of S/B 767-57-0121 original issue dated October 07, 2010 needs to be FAA approved prior to the release of the AD.
2) Step 8 of figures 3 & 4 of S/B 767-57-0121 original issue dated October 07, 2010 instructs operators to identify the modified wing panels with the S/B number. To prevent the potential of un-modifying a modified airplane in the future by purchasing and installing an unmodified wing panel on that airplane, Boeing needs to create a new assembly number (new dash number) for these modified panels.
