Europe Airpost has reviewed the NPRM Docket No. FAA-2011-0722. By this NPRM, The FAA proposes to submit a new AD, which supersedes an existing AD No. 95-12-17, and which requires certains inspections of Boeing SB 737-53A1166 R02 dated 25May2006. Following our evaluation of the NPRM, Europe Airpost has no objection if the FAA issues an AD applicable on Boeing Compagny model 737-100, -200, -200C, -300, -400 and -500 Series Airplanes. Europe Airpost would like to informs the FAA that we have already implemented the Boeing SB 737-53A1166 R02 dated 25May2006 into our maintenance program. This SB has been performed on eight (8) B737-300 of our fleet as following: - Detailed inspection for cracks in S-18A Outboard Chord with a thickess of 0.33 inches or less (Recommended by Boeing SB 737-53A1166 R02, dated 25May2006, Table 1 of paragraph 1.E. "Compliance"). No defect found on all airplanes. - Detailed and Eddy Current inspections for cracks in STA 727 Auxiliary chord on airplanes without the STA 727 outboard chord modification accomplished or with 7075-T6 Frames (Recommended by Boeing SB 737-53A1166 R02, dated 25May2006, Table 5 of paragraph 1.E. "Compliance"). No defect found on all airplanes. - Ultrasonic and surface HFEC inspections for cracks in STA 727 Frame outboard Chord for airplanes with original production frame chord and without the STA 727 Frame modification installed (Required by Boeing SB 737-53A1166 R02, dated 25May2006, Table 2 of paragraph 1.E. "Compliance"). No defect found on seven (7) airplanes. One (1) crack found on one (1) airplane. Best Regards, Loïc LE ROUX EUROPE AIRPOST B737CL & NG Structure Engineer Office: +33 (0)148 169 889
